Newark, New Jersey is a area which has been viewed as the center of industrial breakdown. It's landscapes consist of broken down factories, abandoned buildings, trash and graffiti. Some view this type of atmosphere negatively. I look at it as a "raw beauty." There is something about broken pipes, fire escapes and rusty bridges that truly captivates me. The pinhole camera's ability to simplify the image only adds to Newark's modesty.
I am a student at Rutgers-Newark in New Jersey. I am studying Graphic Design, however am truly fascinated by photography. This blog is a journey through one of my courses where I was able to experiment with all different types of photography.
